Catholic University of the Sacred Heart

The Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (UCSC) is one of Europe’s largest non-state universities, with over 43,000 students, 1,200 faculty members, and four campuses in Milan, Rome, Brescia, and Piacenza-Cremona. Founded on Catholic values and the vision of figures like Agostino Gemelli and Armida Barelli, UCSC combines academic excellence with a commitment to ethical and holistic education. The Piacenza-Cremona campus, central to the ELEVATE project, brings together two faculties: Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences and Economics and Law. The former boasts 78 faculty members, 11 research centers, and over 300 annual publications, with strengths in sustainability, biotechnology, and precision agriculture. The latter, rooted in strong scientific research, offers programs shaped by the latest professional trends and houses seven specialized centers, including those focused on finance, entrepreneurship, and ethics. Together, these faculties advance knowledge and train professionals equipped to meet contemporary challenges with competence and conscience.
