Food4Sustainability is a non-for-profit association dedicated to innovation in sustainable food production. Its concept and circular production systems approach was developed through a collaborative process with relevant national and international stakeholders and experts as part of Building Global Innovators (BGI) collaboration with the Idanha-a-Nova (Portugal) municipality and involved various partners from the EIT Digital, Climate KIC and EIT Food networks. Food4Sustainability offers specialized training programs and is responsible for transferring knowledge to develop, promote and train farmers, professionals, companies, and individuals in sustainable agrifood systems for better health and human well-being. F4S develops webinars on hot topics ranging from the area of sustainable intensification of food production to nutrition. F4S also delivers summer and autumn schools, with programs featuring teaching entrepreneurship in the food system, sustainable and regenerative agriculture, and its impact on the food production systems. F4S strong focus on the primary sector focuses on sharing good practices across borders on sustainable agriculture developing education programs and training tools in the topic of entrepreneurial education. The dedicated Summer Schools have attracted attention of big retailers wishing to take part for networking building and finding technical solutions to real cases.
