Within UCP, the ELEVATE project is coordinated by the Research and Innovation Office (RIO), supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across the university.
The ELEVATE project brings together five UCP research centres and schools: the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF/School of Biotechnology), renowned for high-quality education and research in food, nutrition, environment, and health, preparing professionals to address global challenges through applied science and innovation; the Research Centre for Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR/School of Arts), which fosters creativity and critical thinking through research and teaching in film, sound, new media, and visual arts, playing a vital role in developing Portugal’s creative industries; the Centre for Management and Economics Research (CEGE/Católica Porto Business School), within one of three Portuguese schools with EQUIS and AMBA accreditations; the Business and Economics Research Unit (CUBE/Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics), among Europe’s top 30 business schools with strong industry ties; and the Interdisciplinary Health Research Centre (CIIS/Católica Medical School), offering innovative, patient-centred medical training.
