University of Trieste

The University of Trieste, founded in 1924, is a medium-sized institution with around 16,000 students. It offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, along with vocational and medical specialization courses. With ten departments, it covers a broad range of research fields.

Actively engaged in technology transfer, the university promotes patents, fosters knowledge valorization, encourages intellectual property awareness, supports spin-offs, and collaborates with local SMEs. It participates in national and international research projects and facilitates student and staff exchanges with EU and non-EU universities, including partnerships in Eastern Europe.
